Electromelting zirconia is obtained by one-step electric arc furnace melting zirconia, its process is simple, short process, low product cost, but the performance is inferior to the chemical production of zirconia. However, it is believed that with the in-depth study of electrofusion method, the improvement of product quality, the diversification of product structure, and the outstanding performance in energy saving, electrofused zirconia will have great development prospects and is expected to replace chemical zirconia. It is used in refractory materials, ordinary ceramics and ceramic color glaze.
