electrofused zirconia, also known as desiliconized zirconium, electrofused desiliconized zirconium, refers to the zircon sand (ZrSiO) as the main raw material, carbon material as a reducing agent, desiliconized zirconium oxide generated after reduction desiliconization, injection or casting. Electrofused zirconia has the characteristics of good chemical stability, low production cost, good thermal stability and high melting point, and is widely used in ceramics, refractories, glass, metallurgy and other fields.
The upstream of the fused zirconia industry chain is the supply of raw materials, with zircon sand as its core raw material. China is the main consumer of zircon sand, accounting for nearly 70% of the global market. However, China's zircon sand production is low, the total output accounted for less than 10% of the world. In terms of import and export, affected by the international situation, overseas companies have stopped production, resulting in a continuous decline in my country's zircon sand imports. Due to the shortage of resources and the obstruction of import, the price of zircon sand in China is rising, which brings certain challenges to the development of fused zirconia industry.
The middle reaches of the electric melting zirconia industry chain are product preparation, and the primary electric melting method and the secondary electric melting method are the preparation methods of electric melting zirconia. The primary electrofusion method refers to the melting of raw materials such as stabilizers, zircon sand and graphite powder, and the process of quenching and calcining to produce electrofused zirconia; the secondary electrofusion method refers to the melting of zircon sand and graphite powder, after quenching and calcining, the addition of stabilizers, and then the melting, quenching and calcining to produce finished products. The primary electrofusion method has the advantages of short production cycle, simple operation and good quality of finished products, and is the mainstream preparation method of electrofusion zirconia.
